The Whole Fam Damily

The holidays have come and gone...

Holiday pick

What an exciting and eventfull year 2009 has been for me and undoubtedly everyone else.  I am so thankful for the opportunities and experiences that have fallen into place for me, and I know I couldn't have done it without my family.

The website that is hosting this blog post is a result of two things.  The first is my New Years resolution that I will be communicating with everyone much more throughout the year.  The second is a large amount of old family pictures that need a "centralized home."

Pictures Everywhere

Camera

One major goal of this site is to host an abundance of family pictures.  For "family member users" adding pictures can be done in one of  two ways.  The image gallery section, which allows you to browse and create both images and image galleries.

The image gallery link is located on the top right portion of the page just above the banner.  Once in this section, you will see menu items on the right hand side to create or view images and image galleries.

The second way is to use the Create Content link on the left hand side of the page.  Once this menu is expanded simply click the image link.  It is important to note that image galleries can not be created from this menu, and must be created in the Image Gallery Section.

Lets talk communication

There are two types of communication currently supported on this website, which are detailed below.

  • Message Board - This can be found by navigating to the message board link located in the top right portion of the page just above the banner.  You can also create new forum topics under the Create Content section on the left side of the page
  • Blog - Creating a blog entry can be done using the Create Content link on the left side of the page, and selecting the Blog Entry link.  Viewing the blog can be done using the family blog link in the top left portion of the page just above the banner.  The most recent blog entries will always be recorded on the front page.

Problems or "bugs"...?

Help DeskSeeing as this is more of a "personal" project, I have not placed as much QC time into the environment as I would have liked to.  This means the chances of running into a problem or bug is more likely.  If you should have any issues with the environment feel free to contact the site admin email which is info@rblane.com

Otherwise explore the site, add your own pictures, post your own blogs and please let me know what you think.   Either drop me an email or use the wondefull comment system of the blog here.

Cheers!
